The Blackthorn Café will be closed for refurbishment from Tuesday 1st to Friday 4th July – the rest of the Blackthorn site will remain open on these dates (there will be no Café Connect on Thursday, 3rd July).
Work on the café extension is progressing well – thanks to funding from William & Edith Oldham Charitable Trust, The National Lottery Community Fund , John Swire 1989 Charitable Trust, Turley Associates and Brewers Decorator Centres.
The café interior (including the extension) will be decorated next week and new flooring will be laid over the weekend of 12th/13th July.
We are still fundraising for the final stages of the project (including new café furniture and refurbishment of the café toilets) but we are very excited that the extension will be in use before the end of July.
