Blackthorn therapies are for anyone looking to improve their sense of wellbeing.

Our holistic approach is complementary to primary healthcare services.

Counselling

Rachel Hess has been working as a counselling therapist for over 12 years and has a diploma in Biographical Counselling.

She is a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

Blackthorn Charity is subsidising counselling sessions so that we can offer them to the community at the low-cost rate of only £35.

CranioSacral Therapy (CST)

Gabor Vajnai has over 25 years of experience as a complementary therapist.

Upledger CranioSacral Therapy is a trauma-informed, holistic option. CST supports the natural self-healing capacity of the body. CST is non-invasive, a significant part of the treatment is focused on balancing the nervous system through a gentle light touch.

Metal Colour light Therapy (MCL)

MCL therapy sessions (experiencing coloured light through specially designed etched glass) take place in a peaceful, darkened room with natural sunlight illuminating the glass. Some clients experience strong effects on a bodily level, whilst for others the invigoration of vitality or improved sleep are more noticeable.

Nutrition

Amie Butler, a registered nutritional therapist (DipION, mBANT, CNHC) and Metabolic Balance Practitioner who trained at the Institute for Optimum Nutrition in London.

Clients are supported on a personalised journey towards better health using evidence-informed nutrition, diet, and lifestyle advice. By addressing the root causes of imbalance rather than just symptoms, Amie helps the body move towards long-term, sustainable wellness.

Rhythmical Massage Therapy (RMT)

Gabor Vajnai has over 25 years of experience as a complementary therapist.

RMT involves light, flowing movements and the use of healing oils. Clients often report deeper breathing, a sense of warmth, improvement in sleep and feeling lifted up after a RMT session. The benefits of RMT are best experienced in a series of treatment sessions.
